Miss Ellen's Clothes Closet

Miss Ellen's Clothes Closet, sponsored by United Methodist Women, provides FREE gently used clothing and other items for those in need. The clothes closet is open to the public the second Saturday of every month, from 9am-1pm, no appointment necessary. We welcome calls with requests for specific items and do our best to assist with those needs. 


We regularly receive donations of gently used clothes, blankets and other items. Our wonderful team of volunteers sort, clean, and organize these donations. Volunteers also prepare snack bags for clothes closet guests. Our times of preparation and service are dedicated work and sweet fellowship.

Food Pantry

Our food pantry provides assistance to families in crises situations:  illness, loss of work, house fires, etc.  We do not have the people or resources to offer weekly or even monthly food boxes to the community but we offer emergency or short term help to many families.  


We strive to keep our food pantry stocked with  the help of grant money from the Walker Area Community Foundation and donations, we are able to stock our food pantry from Grace Klein Community who provide us "rescue food" from grocery stores & restaurants for a donation. With a heart to serve our community, this organization enables & equips people on a mission to make a difference. We are grateful.
